The creation of Cutler Bros. Productions has historically always focused around movie making. From using a broken VHS camera to film “Friday the 13th” remakes as kids, to now digitally producing what will be our 3rd full-length feature film, movie making has always played an integral role.
Production Upgrades at Cutler Bros. Studios
Coming this summer, a green screen studio will be created in addition to a professional recording studio. These two huge upgrades were made possible with the purchase of the new studio property in down town Deer Lodge, Montana. Not only will this improve the quality of films produced, but it will also give us the ability to draw professionals to area to get involved with higher-end productions, which is extremely exciting.
Short Film Series Production Starts This Summer
With the re-launching of a full slate of Summer Theater, we won’t be chasing after another feature film, but we will be producing several comedic short films. Scripts and ideas are currently being developed right now, and auditions will take place this spring. More details will be announced as we get closer to the Summer.
History of Comedy Night Gets Yellow Light
A recent proposal to make a feature length film about the history of “Comedy Night” has been proposed and is currently in the early drafting stages. Comedy Night originated during the Summer of 2003, as a series of comedic skits similar to Saturday Night live, and 9 years later 18 comedy nights have been successfully produced. On average, there has been 2 comedy nights produced per year, 1 on Christmas and 1 during the Summer. The basis of he film will be to re-cap the history of comedy night with guest interviews, original footage, and a behind the scenes look at the production of “Comedy Night 20″ which will be produced December 2012. Although nothing is confirmed on this project yet, it could be green-lighted by as early as May.
